AACT-NOW Support Group

AACT-NOW is a support group for African Americans who have family members with mental health issues.  We meet the third Tuesday of the month at the Alpha Baptist Church in Willingboro, and often host speakers. We are always open to persons and organizations that may have an interest in supporting or participating in this group.  AACT-NOW is an affiliate of NAMI FACE (Family and Consumer Exchange) of Moorestown.  Contact Winifred Chain if you would like to join the group or would like to present at a future meeting.

Young Adult Society

The Young Adult Society (formerly YS Youth Society) is a social group for young adults with mental health concerns ages 21 to 35.  This group meets twice a month on weekends.  The first meeting of the month is a game night and devoted to planning an activity and the second meeting is the activity or event.  This group is open to members of all racial and ethnic backgrounds.  Contact Winifred Chain if you would like to learn more.

Presentations Available

Winifred Chain, coordinator of Southern New Jersey Chapter of AACT-NOW, is also available to present on issues concerning African Americans and mental health at your church, organization or event, and is available to comment to reporters.  She presents with videos and provides handouts to participants.  Contact Winifred Chain to schedule a date.
